Drug Safety

All medicines have benefits as well as risks. At Dawa Life Sciences, we aim to enhance patient care and safety in relation to the use of medicines; and in this regard, we are committed to deliver quality, safe and effective pharmaceutical and veterinary products.

Pharmacovigilance

Adverse effects are unexpected medical problems that happen during treatment with a drug or other therapy. Adverse effects may be mild, moderate or severe, and maybe caused by something other than the drug or therapy being given.

The pharmacovigilance system at Dawa Life Sciences is designed to ensure monitoring, detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects related to our products. Dawa Life Sciences applies consistent pharmacovigilance principles across our entire product portfolio. Throughout this document, the term “product” applies to any of our marketed product and the term “patient” applies to any person receiving our product.

To report an adverse effect, the following 4 elements are necessary;

  • 1.Details of the person who experienced the adverse effect.
  • 2.Contact information of the person reporting the adverse effect
  • 3.Description of the adverse effect.
  • 4.Name of our product associated with the side effects.
